High-Risk Follow-Up Clinic
All neonates discharged from the NICU that are considered at high risk for medical or neurodevelopmental issues are referred to our High Risk Follow-Up Clinic. These babies are evaluated at specific intervals throughout the first few years of life to monitor their development and identify motor, visual, hearing and cognitive problems early so that appropriate interventions may be started in a timely manner.
Our evaluation team includes neonatologists, developmental specialists, pediatric psychologists, and nutritionist. We have close communication with each baby's pediatrician or doctor for optimal management of all health issues specific to the former premature infant or neonatal graduate of a NICU.
